Penny Stocks Research Tips

Penny Stocks ResearchI’m always amazed at the stories I hear of traders dumping money into a stock without any penny stocks research at all. That’s a quick ticket to the poor house, especially if you’re risking capital you can’t afford to lose (see: Online Penny Stock Trading ).

Funny, these traders will sift through Google.com looking for reviews for a $10 product or for the latest hot penny stocks from some site, but will gladly dump thousands into a stock on a whim. Don’t be that trader. Penny stocks research is vital to your success. Treat your investments like you do your life.

I’m not saying you need to have the home number for the CEO before you make a play, but you do need to be prepared if you want to find the best penny stocks. Start with good sites. Create bookmark folder and fill it up with a handful of sites. I’ve given you some great financial sites, which can be used for more than penny stocks research, in a moment.

These financial sites will be your go-to sites each trading day. Some of these sites you’ll read for tips and ideas and others for stock charts and recent trader views.

You don’t need to spend money to do basic penny stocks research. The financial sites I list below are free to use and have loads of stock market information. Sure, you can spend money on penny stock newsletters and services to get hot penny stock picks and ideas if you want, but you’ll find all the basic penny stocks research data right out in the open. In this game educating yourself is crucial to your success.

But I understand that time is money and not everyone has the proper time to research. If you do, here’s a list of financial sites to bookmark.

Penny Stocks Research

This list of financial sites all link out to the official pages.

Yahoo! Finance

I’ve been using this site since it went online years ago. It’s a great site to start at.

Google Finance

Another good starter site. I like Yahoo more, but these sites are always changing, so I switch up a lot. There’s news, charts and more.

StockCharts.com

StockCharts.com is a good site for quickly pulling up charts. For a small fee, you can get access to more information and remove the ads. Add this to your list.

Google Alerts

You can keep up with stocks, companies and many other things in real time with Google Alerts. I’ve used this since it came out also and have alerts setup for all sorts of things. It helps me know the moment Google spots something about my penny stocks research criteria. I highly recommend you to set up some alerts. Just make sure you use the “as it happens” options, so you get notified instantly.

Penny Stocks Research Tip

If you see a site talking up a stock, make sure that the owner isn’t getting paid to do it. Progress might always involve risk, but there’s a huge difference between measured, calculated risk and being just plain stupid. The more educated you are, the less of a target you’ll be.

I hope I’ve provided you with some great penny stocks research tips, so you can go out and make more money.
